Lonely Heart - St Columba's Bay

Tiny, rocky St Columba's Bay, Port a Churaich (harbour of the skin-covered boat)on the south coast of Iona, looking out to Sheep and Mouse Islands, is reputedly the spot where St Columba first landed from a coracle in 563AD having left is native Ireland. The heart shaped pebble layout is one of a number of designs and cairns laid on the bay.
