Mourne Rhododendron - County Down
A huge dense thicket of Rhododendron ponticum bring a splash of colour on a hillside in the Mourne Mountains near Kinnahalla. Considered by many now to be an invasive species they apparently pose a threat both to natural vegetation and to the balance of species.
