Dunnet Bay - Caithness
A significant bay on the north coast of Caithness, Dunnet Bay lies 6 miles east northeast of Thurso. The bay is 2 miles wide and 4 miles deep, with a broad sandy beach - one of the longest in Scotland - lying between the cliffs of Dunnet Head and rocks which run along the coast to Murkle Bay. A large and well-developed dune system lies behind the beach.
