Wester Ross and Cromarty
Wester Ross is one of the most remote and beautiful parts of Britain - many say the world. Largely unpopulated and surrounded by high peaks and sea lochs, the area is recognised as one of Europe's last wildernesses. The eastern half - Easter Ross is generally flatter, and consists of towns, villages and farmland bordering the Moray Firth.

Chanonry Point - Cromarty
Chanonry Point lies at the end of Chanonry Ness, a spit of land extending into the Moray Firth between Fortrose and Rosemarie on the Black Isle and is one of the best spots in the UK to view Bottlenose dolphin from the land. An active lighthouse situated at the tip of the point was designed by Alan Stevenson and was first lit in 1846. The lighthouse has been fully automated since 1984.
