The Blue Lagoon - Abereiddi - Pembrokeshire
The Blue Lagoon is a reminder of Pembrokeshire’s industrial past, being the site of a former slate quarry. The lagoon was created when the outer wall was breached just over a century ago. The water has a very distinctive blue-green colour, which is caused by the build-up of minerals in the lagoon. The Blue Lagoon hosted the UK leg of the World Cliff Diving Series in 2012 and 2013.
